Mirage was contracted by Southwest Industrial Group to install 8 tank ring foundations 5 at 50’ diameter and 3 at 77’ diameter in Clemville, Texas for expansion of existing Tank farm.
Work Performed
- Excavated 3,200 cubic yard of dirt
- Hauled in 4,100 cubic yards of select fill
- Placed 250 cubic yards of 4,000 PSI concrete
- Placed 46 tons of rebar

Mirage was called in to assist with the Expansion of an existing tank farm located on the Corpus Christi ship channel.
Work Performed
- Installed 4 at 115 barrel tank ring foundations
- Installed 3 100 barrel tank ring foundations
- Installed 1 at 50 barrel firewater tank foundation
- Placed 1660 linear foot of concrete dike wall
- Installed 1 manifold for the 4 at 115 barrel tanks
- Installed 7 Lact unit foundations
Accomplishment
- Effectively completed the project with 0 recordable injuries.
- Successfully maintained an excellent working relationship with the Texas Dock and Rail and Trafigura
Challenges
Mirage had to keep terminal up and running during installation of tank foundation with over 100 trucks off loading and loading on a daily basis

- Placed 7200 linear foot of concrete dike wall
- Installed 4 manifolds
- Crude pipeline tie in
- Concrete and asphalt roads for site
- Underground firewater system with monitors and deluge for entire 90 acre site
- 2,000 l.f. of pipe rack

Challenges
Concrete shortages in the Corpus Christi area, Mirage Industrial Group brought in volumetric mixer trucks to keep up with the demand of concrete on site and also serviced 2 on-site Electrical companies need for conduit coverage.
